Series: Tough Justice #6
Genres: Military/Police Romance

A sinister surprise is lying in wait…

With her trusted team all focused on getting justice, Special Agent Lara Grant is relieved to finally see some progress, even if their investigation has now turned to delving into some gruesome events from over twenty years ago.

An exhumation is necessary to unravel all the knots of this case, but Lara is surprised by how close their quarry is… In fact, he's just one step ahead, almost teasing them by how near he is…

Part 6 of 8 in the chilling, high-octane FBI thriller TOUGH JUSTICE from New York Times bestselling author Carla Cassidy and authors Tyler Anne Snell, Carol Ericson and Gail Barrett.

My Review

This was another great episode! Lara now knows who she is looking for but she also learns why they always seems to be two steps ahead of her and the team.  This one is a bit slower paced but I think that it worked well because the previous ones have been so fast paced. As we get a little closer to the end I really needed the small breather that this episode allowed me to have.

I’m still making my way through this series and I’m really enjoying it. I am super grateful, though, that released them all right away. It would have been awful waiting weeks or months between each one.
