Everything I Left Unsaid by Molly O'Keefe
Series: Everything I Left Unsaid #1
Genres: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense
Fans of Jodi Ellen Malpas, K. Bromberg, and Joanna Wylde will be unable to resist this sexy, deeply intimate tale of a woman running from her past, and the darkly mysterious man who sets her free.
I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.
And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.
His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keeping secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both.
Okay I can honestly say that answering the phone for me has NEVER been this hot!! We begin with Annie setting up in a trailer park after she flees her abusive husband. She has a lot to figure out and things are just upside down at the moment. Then the phone rings only it’s not Annie’s phone. However being a woman she answers it (COME ON you know you would too if you found a ringing phone in your new place!) Answering the phone is when she is introduced to Dylan and the best phone sexual tension I have ever read. The fact hat these two spent half the book on the phone with one another and not face to face yet still have that kind of tension just goes to show the literary genius of Molly O’Keefe.
“Are you safe?” he asked.
The question with it’s implied concern bit into me… Tears burned my eyes. No one had worried about me. Not in a very long time…
“Yes.” My voice was gruff and thick. “I’m safe.”
I got the sense that if I told him no, that I felt threatened or scared, he would do something about it. Arrive at that metal door to help me.
The temptation to trust him was not insignificant.
I want a phone call like that! Annie is a very strong woman whose life is out of her control. In fact she hasn’t been allowed to have that control yet out that has come a woman who won’t just give in anymore. She is determined to not only be brave but independent which makes her very relateable. Dylan is the perfect book boyfriend! He is super sexy and mysterious with just the right amount of tortured in there. We learn a lot about him and his past, who he is but there is something there that is just within your reach about him yet you can’t get to it. I can’t wait for book two to find out what happens!
