Her Accidental Husband by Ashlee Mallory
Series: The Sorensen Family #2
Genres: Contemporary Romance

Payton Vaughn’s trip to Puerto Vallarta for her friend's wedding was her big escape from her ridiculously overbearing mother–oh, and that little matter with her cheating fiancé. Now, her flight's been cancelled, and she's crammed into a tiny car with the gorgeous-but-irritating best man.

Viva la road trip from hell...

Cruz Sorensen doesn't have time to babysit some spoiled socialite, even if she is the future daughter-in-law of the man who could change the fortune of his family's company. He has no business getting to know her better—not even for all the tequila in Mexico...until they wake up with grande-sized hangovers as man and wife.

Now Payton and Cruz must decide if they've reached the end of their journey...or the beginning of a new adventure.

My Review

After her fiancé cancels his travel plans at the last-minute because of work, Payton has to travel to her best friends wedding in Mexico alone. Her best friend Kate asks her future brother-in-law Cruz to delay his trip by a day and travel with Payton. I’m not sure if Payton is the unluckiest or luckiest person in the world. Everything seems to go wrong when she is around! First the plane has trouble and their isn’t another flight, then they have to drive down and the things go all sorts of wrong there. However for as wrong as it all goes one drunken night seems to go completely right.

I really enjoyed this story even though there were a few times that I felt like both Payton and Cruz acted a little more like teenagers. I really hated the way that Payton left Mexico because to me it just seemed so wrong although I wanted to slap the heck out of Cruz for allowing her to leave at all. I haven’t read the first book in the series but can bet that it is now in my kindle and I will be reading it as well as waiting for any others.

About Ashlee Mallory

Ashlee was thirteen when she discovered her first Kathleen E. Woodiwiss book hidden away in her mom’s closet. After two days of staying home “sick” from school to finish it, she was hooked. Her rabid love for romance has continued ever since and after a misadventure in the world of law, she is finally settling into her dream job of writing about people finding their happily ever afters—the only stories worth reading, after all.

Ashlee lives in the greater Salt Lake Valley in Utah with her sweetie, two fabulous kids, and a dog and cat that vie equally for her attention. Sometimes by sitting on her computer when she’s trying to work. And although surrounded by picturesque mountains and beautiful landscapes, she’s practically allergic to direct sunlight, the outdoors, and anything that involves communing with nature. Give her a book, an abundance of coffee, and a shady (enclosed) spot with a view and she’s happy.

Whether writing contemporary romances or romances with mystery and suspense, Ashlee aims to create down to earth heroines and heroes that will make you laugh and fall in love all over again.
