Love Restored by Carrie Ann Ryan
Series: Gallagher Brothers #1
Genres: Contemporary Romance
In the first of a Montgomery Ink spin-off series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan, a broken man uncovers the truth of what it means to take a second chance with the most unexpected woman…
Graham Gallagher has seen it all. And when tragedy struck, lost it all. He’s been the backbone of his brothers, the one they all rely on in their lives and business. And when it comes to falling in love and creating a life, he knows what it’s like to have it all and watch it crumble. He’s done with looking for another person to warm his bed, but apparently he didn’t learn his lesson because the new piercer at Montgomery Ink tempts him like no other.
Blake Brennen may have been born a trust fund baby, but she’s created a whole new life for herself in the world of ink, piercings, and freedom. Only the ties she’d thought she’d cut long ago aren’t as severed as she’d believed. When she finds Graham constantly in her path, she knows from first glance that he’s the wrong kind of guy for her. Except that Blake excels at making the wrong choice and Graham might be the ultimate temptation for the bad girl she’d thought long buried.
I thought the Montgomery’s were the best fictional family ever! Enter the Gallaghers and I am certain they will rival the Montgomery’s! Graham is damaged by a past that he isn’t certain he can get over. While Blake is trying to put her past firmly behind her once and for all. They each have had things happen that defined who they are now. Blake is working at Montgomery Ink as a piercer who hires the Gallaghers to restore her family home so she can get rid of it. From the moment they meet they dislike each other yet are attracted to one another. Graham thinks she is just another typical rich princess who happens to be a client but as he gets to know her he realizes how far from that she is.
There were moments in this book where I wanted to slap Graham. I really did but he has been hurt in the worst possible way and when Blake reveals her secret it cuts him deeply. It’s something he has to get past and deal with which I was thrilled that he did because it was touch and go for a moment. Blake has her share of things to deal with as well and I love that the Gallaghers are like the Montgomery’s in how they all come together with the poop hits the fan.
There were plenty of laughs between these brothers and I really have to say that Blake is my hero. I mean she will have to see Graham’s brother all the time and know that she pierced him. Yep there! I wouldn’t be able to look in the eye ever again but she is professional. This is a MUST read! Like go right now and read this book!
