“Some guys call, some date, and some guys, they might even get married.
But, sweetheart, I ain’t any of those guys...” ~ Zeke Declan

Every girl in Galveston County knows about Zeke Declan’s rules and has agreed to them or is considering them.
Rule #1 Don’t call him. He’ll call you.
Rule #2 He doesn’t date.
Rule #3 No sleepovers.
Rule #4 Absolutely, no virgins.

When a couple friends talk me into going back to their hometown in the Bayou for the summer and challenge me to break “the best damn lay in Galveston County” along with every single one of his ridiculous rules, I’m confident that I can get the job done. I’m no stranger to men. I have five older brothers. I’m a teacher and I’m used to being around rebellious teenagers. However, Zeke Declan is definitely not someone that I could have prepared for. He’s not a testosterone-fueled, immature boy. He’s a confident, arousing, playful, and mind-melting man. But, behind that sexy charming smile, I know he’s hiding a secret. And, in order to break him, I’m going to need to find out what it is...

My Review

Okay this is the first book in this series that I have read but let me tell you the other two are now in my To Be Read list! I mean DANG this was hot and in all sorts of good ways if you know what I mean. A little backstory…… this series started with three best friends who decide to head to Bayou for the summer. However each girl has a mission and that is to break one of the Declan brothers.

Lurlene is taking a chance after Rayna pressure her. After Luelene is still a virgin and she has to break  “the best damn lay in Galveston County” which would be enough to make any girl a little nervous. She is surprised when she learns that the guy she met on her first day in Bayou is Zeke Declan. After all prior to knowing who he was she thought he was the perfect man for her. That just makes her all the more determined to break Zeke’s rules.

While Zeke was determined to stay away from Luelen, although that plan doesn’t work out so well for him. As much as he wants to stay away he simply can’t. She scared him more than anything and he didn’t want her to fall in love with him. Much less fall in love with her himself. He was broken and didn’t want to hurt her which is what he knew he would do.

These two were so perfect together! They were cute and their interactions were funny at times and down right hot at others. Like I said I enjoyed this book so much that I am going to go back and read the other two to see what happened with the other brothers and friends. I can’t wait for the Kelly Gendron’s next project.
